Places to dine out in Cork City
Ivory Tower Restaurant
Ivory Tower is a very intersting restaurant and generates mixed reactions from patrons dining here, the menu is very adventurous to say the least, with anything from blackened shark to crocodile and python showing up from time to time, so its not for the people with tame taste buds. One major drawback here is the price. Its very expensive, saying that some of the food is very specialised and will not be had many other places. The normal food on the menu is a mixture of Asian and European dishes made up of game, vegetarian, and seafood as well as the mainstays of red meat and poultry. Everything is wild or organic, and is locally sourced. Pricing is straightforward, with two fixed options: the five course meal is cheaper around 60-65 euro, but you get a choice of what you want; a seven-course tasting menu is more expensive around 75-80 euro. Drinks are charged separately. If you fancy something away from the norm and dont mind paying give the Ivory Tower a try, you may be pleasently surprised.
